Withdrawal information

This page describes the verifiable position for digital direct orders and distinguishes them from purchases through external retailers and printed editions.

Digital content

For contracts concerning paid digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, the statutory withdrawal rules apply. If delivery is to begin before the withdrawal period has expired, checkout requests separate express consent to early performance and acknowledgement of the possible loss of the right of withdrawal.

Beginning of delivery

The digital entitlement is created only after PayPal payment has been confirmed. The statutory right of withdrawal does not expire merely because a checkbox has been selected. It can expire only when all statutory requirements have been met, in particular the beginning of performance, express consent, confirmed acknowledgement of the legal consequence and the required contract confirmation.

Technical release status

Express consent to early performance and acknowledgement of the possible withdrawal consequence are recorded in the order snapshot with a timestamp, separately from the general acceptance of the legal texts. After successful payment, the customer receives confirmation of these declarations together with the withdrawal information applicable at the time of the order and the contract details by email on a durable medium.

Printed editions

Printed books are currently not sold through the Aktiokrat direct checkout. Purchases from an external retailer are governed by that retailer’s withdrawal and returns terms; any withdrawal must be addressed to the respective contracting party.

Exercising the right of withdrawal

The contact area can be used to make an unequivocal declaration or ask a question about a direct order. Please include the order number. Statutory rights and periods are not restricted by this contact route.
